Boy climbs on luggage conveyor at ATL while his mother was printing her boarding pass. Looks like he made it through the bomb scanner before TSA personnel grabbed him. He got a broken hand for his ride.
Video is sped up, and definitely needs more yakkety sax.

I could totally picture my 3 year old doing that.

ATL is easily one of the top airports in the world where you need to never let anyone or anything out of sight.
And yet...

some kids are just going to do stupid stuff... honestly, I’m kinda surprised that doesn’t happen more often

People looked at us funny when we had tethers on our twin boys at the airport.
My boys never climbed on the luggage belt.
Which does not mean that they didn’t want to.

You should have screamed at the top of your lungs “mind your own f’n business”.
Not only would you have publicly embarrassed the nosy people, your boys would have remained preoccupied with the fact that you yelled a curse word out loud and everyone heard it.

Ok most of us tbh and I would totally want to, but probably be too shy to actually do it.

Or don't want to get arrested. I'd like to think I could manage not to break my hand in the process.

Yes. I would also be one of them.

Part of me wants to raise my eyebrow toward the parent, though the kids get away from the best of them, while at the same time, that situation calls for hyper vigilance. In fact, if I were there, I'd be automatically vigilant on behalf of others. For example engaging with the little guy while Mommy checks the bag, or assisting her directly, which begs the question: where were the employees?

Everything is self serve these days, fewer employees around. And it can be challenging to get anything done with an energetic child.

Agreed, entirely.
